Trump’s Attacks on Judges: the Secret Ingredient for ‘Banana Republic Pie
Since Trump descended that escalator at what we now know was a fraudulently valued building, Trump Tower, and invaded our national consciousness, he chipped away at our national foundation’s centuries-long respectability and honor.
Institution after institution has become suspect because the federal employees working in them have had to prevent Donald Trump from abusing his power and corrupting the nation.
Everything we once regarded with respect has been deemed by Trump solely because those institutions are doing the jobs mandated to them by the Constitution as hives of enemies. They are enemies, he says, because they wouldn’t let him treat the nation like it was his corporation and, as the CEO, answerable to no one.
Trump has also made it so that if anyone disagrees with his radical and criminal views, then they, too, are enemies of the nation. This reasoning has been accepted by at least 30 percent of the country and maybe more.
This cohort of the insane and lost sincerely believes that the American nation is being destroyed because the laws trying to prevent Trump’s criminality are being enforced. Strangely, they see nothing wrong with the deals made by Jared Kushner with Saudi Arabia; they see nothing wrong with the fact that Trump did pay taxes for years because of “losses.”
