The Ultimate Goal
As an avid sports fan and former athlete, the goal has always been to be involved in sports. Whether it was playing basketball in college, playing professionally or any other way it has always revolved around that. After graduating high school in 2020 and nearly having the oppritunity to play junior college basketball, my parents and I made a tuff decision. It was to pursue covering sports as a journalist and future sports broadcaster. I always knew I wanted to be one but the plan was to be an analyst after playing the sport I love, not changing it to my main priority as a career. I was sad about it for a while, but through faith and trusting God it has been a blessing and maybe the best thing that has happened in my life so far. I have watched ESPN every day since I was nine years old in 2011, gathering and retaining information like no other. My first love was football from watching my uncle play at UH from 2005–2009 which made me want to be a Cougar. I had always played basketball simultaneously with football, but specifically the same year I started watching ESPN everyday, basketball became my love and favorite sport. 12 years later the game of basketball and football as well has brought great things to my life and now being a broadcast journalism major and future sports analyst, is really a thing that has come full circle.
