Idon’t know what the worst part of this story is, that little boys are learning to worship Andrew Tate with his deep hatred of women and his glorification of rape, or that little boys are publicly calling for “death to gays,” while shouting out raw hatred of transgender women.
Think I’m exaggerating? I wouldn’t have believed this either until early this week when I saw it with my own eyes. Hang on a second for the details while I set the stage.

I’m used to seeing kids mob sports stars at games, hands stretched out for autographs from their heroes. I used to do that as a kid at Cincinnati Reds games, wearing my Reds baseball cap and hoping beyond hope that Pete Rose, Johnny Bench, or Dave Concepción would sign my mitt. At home, I’d sift through shoe boxes full of baseball cards, wishing I could be just like my heroes.
His real name is Kenn De Balinthazy, and if you’re middle aged and progressive like me, his handle likely won’t ring a bell. If you’re a parent of any political persuasion, however, I hoped you’re as appalled as I am to hear what this popular youth influencer is teaching, and how readily children are parroting their hero.

I just watched a video of the 25-year-old influencer and former YouTube star approached by adoring fans at a Miami Marlins baseball game— small boys who had this to say as some jumped up and down with excitement:
