This trick costs the Russians a fortune
The joy of Putin’s forces over their successful strike on a supposed Ukrainian radar installation apparently lasted only for a short time: They had fallen for a FAKE!
This was explained by the Ukrainian steel company Metinvest, which manufactures dummies to fool the Russians. They are apparently so faithful to the original that Putin’s attack warriors mistook the pretend P-18 Malachite radar for real — and literally expended precious ammunition to destroy the completely non-functional steel construct.

The fake P-18 Malachite radar rotates just as eagerly as the original, its base camouflaged by the Ukrainians with nets. Obviously a tempting target for the Russians, but completely pointless.
